As someone who is a coffee shop enthusiast, I had to stop here while on vacation. The staff here are very upbeat and friendly. I had a vanilla latte with a monkey bread muffin, and they were delicious. Beachy atmosphere with clothes and other items for sale and chairs to relax and tables to do work. Go check out this place if you are in the area.

My go-to coffee shop every weekday. I stop here on my way to work and everyone is always so pleasant. I forgot my order one morning and the young lady at the window knew it already. I’m one of those who gets the same thing. Impressive!

I’ve passed here so many times and finally stopped in before a chilly beachside church service on Sunday. So glad I did! I’ll be back! Bar area with outlets for laptops, boutique style store, community bookshelf you can borrow books from. Super cute spot!

This coffee shop and retail space never disappoints! We have several friends who agree with us that Surf & Java is the best in the area. We owned a coffee shop in the Raleigh area before moving to the beach and this is the only one we've found that comes close to what we had in terms of quality product and offerings. Glad we have them to go to!

This place is a gem , unlike Starbucks it has a friendly neighborhood atmosphere. Lots of regulars getting to know each other. The mercantile inventory is high quality clothing. You’ll see me here most mornings smoking a pipe and greeting folks. During the off-season, there’s seldom a long line and you can get coffee real quick.

Definitely 5 stars!!!!!!!!! You have to get your coffee here!!! The employees are so sweet and the prices are so low compared to other coffee shops. A large frappe was only like 5! A large group of my friends and I all got different drinks and no one had complaints. We were all so impressed.

My family and I stopped in during vacation and enjoyed it so much we came back the next day too. All the coffees and smoothies we tried were delicious, the staff was friendly and even when the line was really long one of the days the wait was not bad at all from the way they take / fill orders so quickly.
